Allan Gardens (2019)

​Class assignment. We went on a research trip to Allan Gardens in Toronto to inspire botanical artwork and create a relatively quick series of 6 small works in our chosen medium. I strove for an enchanted sort of look, and looking at the completed works now, I can almost string together a narrative of plants becoming animated and causing mayhem (starting to remind me of something Alice in Wonderland-esque?) in the conservatory after hours. I'd like to add to this series and create more detailed, large-scale versions of some of these paintings someday.
